Series of Hands-on Videos Show New ‘Dynamic Island’ of the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, Along With Other Changes
The most significant visible change in the hands-on videos below from various content creators and media outlets is that pill-shaped cutout, which Apple is calling the ‘Dynamic Island.’ The name might bring out a chuckle from those who hear it for the first time, but apart from increasing the screen real estate, that cutout can display important information like phone calls, notifications, Face ID alerts, maps navigation, and more.
— Safwan AhmedMia (@SuperSaf) September 7, 2022 Like previous models, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have symmetrical bezels around the edges, which is what Apple’s design philosophy is all about. Looking at the latest flagships closely, we believe that there are several Android smartphones that tout thinner bezels, but those bezels are not uniform. There is also a purple finish, but in these videos, the color is much darker than we would have liked.
1/ 48MP camera is nuts. Mound is massive. 2/ Dynamic Island is very cool. Concerned about smudging selfie cam tho3/ Digging the darker black stainless steel here4/ Lightning again, no USB-C#appleevent pic.twitter.com/7EfRXGIpDc — Input (@inputmag) September 7, 2022 As for the 48MP rear camera, the people who held the devices for the first time said that it was massive, which would also explain why the rear module appears larger than the unit on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
